I sew as a hobby and have been doing it for many years. Usually for dolls, but have sewn for myself and my daughter.
I sew and crochet primarily as a hobby .On average I sew or crochet about 10 to 20 hours a week.
I sew, garden, and do family history. I make doll clothes for my granddaughter and friends, and also sell them in my Etsy shop, Jill Dresses Dolls. I draft or alter patterns, but love the Pixie Faire patterns because they save me a lot of time. I also have made masks, clothing, and I do simple alterations. I try to sew a few hours every day. I also have my grandchildren 2-3 days a week, so the time spent sewing varies from a few hours to several hours a day as I am retired. It helps keep me busy and is my therapy!
I sew and knit as a hobby, and I love making doll clothes and gifts for my grandchildren as I enjoy making small things. On average, I spend ten hours a week sewing and a couple hours knitting.
I sew and knit as a hobby and for gifts; everything from garments for adults and children to doll cloths, purses, and home decor. Since retiring, I spend 30 hours per week between the two. Having projects keeps me sane during lockdown. I’m always thinking about the next creative endeavor before the present one is completed. Once in awhile I’ll throw in a new creative outlet for variety. I recently painted wooden peg dolls for my 4 year old granddaughter. And now I’m planning on trying my hand at clay miniatures, like play food, for dolls.
