These adorable pajamas were designed specifically for boys with a lower in-seam in the leg and buttons closing to the right. Being totally reversible, this relatively easy PDF pattern offers four alternative PJ’s for all seasons. Mix and match fabrics, jackets and pants – the possibilities and color combinations are infinite. This pattern is designed to fit 18” soft-bodied dolls.

With the Pioneer Boy PDF pattern, you can make a shirt, trousers and cap for your 18" boy doll.  The boy's work shirt has a one-piece collar with stand, button front placket, dropped shoulders, and full sleeves gathered to fitted cuffs.  The boot-cut trousers have a high waist, working front pockets, faux front fly, and top-stitching detail.  The Y-back suspenders have faux-suede tabs that button onto the trousers.  The bonus newsboy cap has a paneled crown topped with a fabric-covered button.

My biggest sewing, knitting or crochet challenge is good tension in knitting. I usually am pretty good at al crafty things but tension is so random, usually too loose but sometimes too tight, or just wonky. And I’ve knit a lot over the years. Nothing ever looks great in my knitting. Lol

My biggest sewing, knitting or crocheting challenge is; reading crocheting patterns! I’ve been crocheting since I was a little girl & sewing the same amount of time, but was taught by another person, not by reading patterns. So this has always been a challenge.

Reading crochet and knitting patterns. I learned to knit and crochet form a book while I was in high school. 50 years ago. Now, when I read some of the patterns, I don’t seam to have the same vocabulary. I learn best visually, so it would be nice, if some patterns, that are “different”, have illustrations!.My terrors, have been gathering on a peplum and buttonholes on a band of a complicated cable pattern.

My biggest sewing challenge is trying to keep a handle on the mountain of notions that tends to get out of hand. I have all of my patterns from the last fifty years, plus my mother’s and some from my mother-in-law. There are boxes of zippers, thread spools, bias tape, and massive quantities of lace. When I’m in full sewing mode, everything I’m using gets dumped in a large laundry basket next to my machine. And I mean to put all of it away, soon, especially the bits from Christmas, 2016!
