I don’t really have a favorite fashion era. But a pattern from the 20’s would be fun.
My favorite era is the 50’s, poodle skirts and everything else from my childhood.
My favorite fashion era is Victorian but I would like to see a pattern for a 1920’s Swing and Clapper outfit
My favorite fashion era is the 1860’s. I would love to see a historical pattern for an 1880’s teenage girl or young adventurer. I’m on the local museum board and we have a wonder trio of sisters who were way ahead of their time. One was a cave-exploring geologist, one a folklorist who visited Native Americas and learned their ways, and the other studied ornithology. They were well traveled and wrote under men’s names until their father passed, because as well educated ladies it would not be proper. We are creating 18" dolls to illustrate their lives and teach today’s girls about these young women of the golden age in our city. One of them created her own split skirt to better cave explore in! We hope to recreate some of the clothing they might have worn in their exploits.
My favorite historical fashion period is 1840’s to 1860’s. Nothing better than big skirts!
