My favorite fashion era was the forties and eighties because shirtwaist dresses and long suit jackets were in style. And i loved the shoulder pads because they made your shoulders broader which made your waist look small. Wasn’t into the big hair of the 80’s though.
I love the historical outfits. When I was a child my Barbies had to have ‘old fashioned’ clothes – which of course my mother had to make since the clothes for them were only modern.
My favorite fashion era is the 1960’s
My favorite historical era is Regency, but I would like to see patterns for boys in the 1970s :)
My favorite historical era is early 20th century, and I’d love to see more historical patterns for BJDs of all sizes!
My favorite fashion era is the Victorian era. I would like to see a pattern for American girl 18” dolls.
My favorite fashion eras are the Regency and Victorian.
Asking for my favorite fashion era is like asking which is my favorite child…I love them all.
But, I have the softest spot for Edwardian and the 20’s Jazz era.
I’d like to see patterns that pay homage to designers from 1900 thru the 1920s….Fortuny ‘s tea gowns, Paul Poiret turbans and les robes, the theater of Erte (wow!), Jeanne Lavine’s Charleston dresses, Jean Patou’s early cubist sweaters, Edward Molyneux beaded dresses (but I’d want to follow his patterns into the 30s and 40s.) These designers did things that were awe inspiring. The fashion well runs so deep. It’s great to keep their heritage alive.
My favorite fashion era is the 1960’s possibly because I was young and fashion savy back then; my seconf favorite time ranges from the Revolutionary War to the Civil War, however the more I know of the actual living of that time I know I’d never survive dressed in those clothes!
My favorite fashion era is the Victorian era, because of the changing silhouettes. I would love to see a historical pattern for Rational Dress, the mid-nineteenth century movement to make women’s clothes more comfortable and practical.
My favorite fashion era is the 1930’s- the 1950’s (I can’t pick just one!). I would love to see more historical patterns for the Wellie Wishers in any time period.
My favorite fashion era is from 1914-1923…fashion was turned on its head! I would like to see more fashions from this time…drop waist dresses with facing on neck and arm and also the wonderful late teens/early ’20s bloomer dresses. Please!
My favorite fashion era is the 1920’s… I would like to see a historical pattern offered for a flapper costume that is historically correct with beads, the hat etc..
My favorite fashion era is the present one. I would like to see a pattern for a wedding dress.
My favorite fashion era is the Regency era. I would like to see a historical pattern offered for a boys pattern in the Regency era style. I would love to see my son’s doll in a tiny cravat!
My favorite fashion era is Victorian. I would like to see a historical pattern offered for a ball gown from that era.
My favorite fashion is the Gay 90s. I would like to see a historical pattern offered for a ..flapper dress.
I love fashions from all eras, but would love to see a zoot suit and accompanying girl doll fashions.
My favorite Historical time is The Victorian Times. I would love to see patterns for Sherlock Holmes, Dr. Watson, Irene Adler, Moriarty, Inspectors from Scotland Yard and of course the London Bobby clothing.
My favorite fashion era is 1910’s, when the whole approach to the women’s cloth had changed.
I love the Victorian era but any vintage gowns are beautiful.
My favorite fashion era is Victorian, Colonial, 50’s and 60’. I like all the details of these patterns. I would like to see more patterns for the 18 inch and 14.5 inch that match.
My favourite fashion era is the late Victorian – early Edwardian era. You asked for specifics: I would like to see a bundle of historical patterns offered for a dress for a schoolgirl and an outfit for a schoolboy for1896, as well as an everyday dress for a young female schoolteacher. Instead of 1896, this could be for at any time between 1896 – 1910. The reason why is my dolls live on the site of a one-room schoolhouse erected in 1896, and they would like to put on a fashion show about the excitement the neighbourhood experienced on finally getting their school – so ordinary farming clothes for adults would also be a welcome addition to this fashion bundle! (The school continued to operate until 1940, when it was closed due to “consolidation”, which required all the children to travel to school in town instead of walking to school in their rural neighbourhood – this diminished the life of the whole local community…
My favorite fashion era is Edwardian. I would like to see a pattern for a dress for a boardwalk promenade.
My favorite fashion eras are the colonial period and the 1930s and 40s. I can’t think of any historical patterns I’d like to see offered. There are already so many choices!!
my favorite era is the 1800’s
My favorite era is Victorian, i would to see more day dresses for this period.
“My favorite fashion era is the 60’s. I would like to see a historical pattern offered for a Pioneer dressing for both settlers and Native American.
My favorite fashion era is the Civil War. I would like to see a historical pattern for hoop skirt dresses
Not sure I have one favorite. I love so many fashion eras where there are unique details and figure pleasing profiles.
My favorite fashion era is the Civil War circa 1860. I would love to see a pattern for the sheer overlay dresses from that period.
My favorite historical era of course is the Civil War because I love Gone With The Wind and the sequel Scarlett. They were beautiful dresses, but I sew child friendly dress So I’d like more of the 90s and 2000 era clothes. I think the children like them better.
I love the gowns I see on Victoria. Any of those beautiful designs would be great.
My favorite fashion era is Victorian with all the ribbons and bows. I’d like a pattern based on the New Mary Poppins movie from around 1910 or so.
My favorite era would be the Colonial period and the styles worn by the pioneers as they settled the prairies.
My favourite fashion era is from the 1950s. Probably because that’s when I was a little girl, and my mom, being a seamstress, sewed all my little dresses. We didn’t wear jeans and pants. One dress was always saved for Sunday church.
these are stunning.. my fav is every period.. it changes by day..lol and any little girl of any age .will love to receive these grand outfits..stuff dreams are made of..thank you for this offer..
these are stunning.. my fav is every period.. it changes by day..lol and any little girl of any age .will love to receive these grand outfits..stuff dreams are made of..thank you for this offer..
My favorite fashion era is late 18th century. I’d like to see patterns for this era including under things.
“My favorite fashion era is Victorian I would like to see a historical pattern offered for a Ball Gown with bling…..
My favourite fashion era is the early 1900’s to the 1910’s. You will not find a more beautiful time frame than that! I would like to see BOYS DOLL CLOTHES for the 18" doll for this era. I can’t seem to find any at all. I would especially love to see the period from 1900-1905. I would like to use an AG doll to recreated my paternal grandpa’s story as a boy in North Wales. This would make me so happy as I can’t design boy’s doll clothes.
Because of my love for all things Jane Austen, my favorite fashion era is the Regency period. There are knitting magazines devoted to Jane Austen knitting that sell out as soon as they are distributed. I would like to see any historical pattern offerings, knit or sewn, for Austen attire for dolls.
99% of my sewing is modern, for young girls’ dolls. This Regency sewing would be for me. This year I want to make a point of doing some doll sewing for me. I never do that and it’s about time.
My favorite fashion era is the 50’s. I was a girl then and my mother made me clothes I loved and doll clothes I enjoyed all from that era.
My favorite fashion eras are colonial and WW I and II … I would like to see a historical pattern offered for hats from these areas.
So many to choose from. Can’t pick a favorite.
My favorite fashion era is the 1940’s. You don’t see as much about that time period as some of the others. The clothes were so classy! I’d love to see pleated pants and jacket patterns for women from that era. I think the style would work best on a slender doll.
My favorite fashion era is the 60’s… I think. They’re all fun.
My favorite era is the Civil War era. I would like to see a beautiful ball gown such as in Gone With The Wind.
My favorite fashion era is the late 1930’s, early 40’s; however for doll clothes I would like to see more contempory styles and accessories.
My favorite fashion era for American Girl Dolls is the Civil War when Scarlett O’Hara wore fabulous ball gowns. They are flashbacks in time and so pretty.
My favorite fashion era is the Elizabethan period. I would like to see a historical pattern offered for a Lady in Waiting to the Queen.
I simply adore the Civil War era completed in miniature reproduction fabrics scaled for dolls.
My favorite fashion era is the Civil War era to early prairie, I love how feminine (although terribly uncomfortable) the large sweeping skirts were! I would like to see a historical pattern offered for a Scarlet O’Hara style hoop skirt!
My favourite fashion era is the roaring 20’s. I love the flapper dresses and the hats.
My favorite fashion era is both the 1950’s and the 1990’s – I love the frills of the 50’s, but the edginess of the 90’s. I would like to see a historical pattern offered for some 1920’s era party dresses and suits, as we’re soon going to be in the “roaring 20’s” again, and my dolls need to be partying like Gatsby!
My favorite era is the beautiful gowns of the early 1800’s and that of each presidential first lady. I love French fashion. I love dressing Robert Tonner fashion doll and 18" dolls. I would like to see 16 and 21 inches fashion dolls patterns.
My favorite era is the regency era. I am a fan of Jane Austen. I am also a child of the 60s. I love bell bottoms and mini shirts. All your patterns are wonderful. Thank you for freebie Friday!
I read a lot of Historical Romance and have enjoyed making my granddaughter several dresses of the late 1800’s. I would enjoy making her doll some as well.
My favorite fashion era is 1940’s. I’d love to see a historical pattern offered for a suffregette outfit to comemerate the 100th anniversary of women’s right to vote!
I love any historical era patterns, especially colonial times and the Civil War era. What I would really like to see is a patterns for Native American ceremonial clothing from various tribes throughout the United Sates. Thanks for all your creative ideas!
My favorite fashion period is the 50’s and I would love to see more patterns for circle skirts and party dresses
My favorite periods are the 16th and 17th centuries, but I also love the late 1800’s. I would enjoy sewing more Renaissance patterns from areas like Italy and Spain.
“My favorite fashion era is 1950’s. I would like to see a historical pattern offered for a Wellie Wisher Doll. It would be fun to make an outfit for my granddaughter’s doll similar to what I may have worn as a child. It’s hard to think of me as historical though! LOL
Heh heh. Turns out I left out a very important word! That would be wedding. My mom made my wedding dress like my Barbie dress. Lol
I don’t have a favorite fashion period, they all have their attractions and merits, but I would like to see a mid-19th century pattern offered for 18" AG African-American dolls.
My favourite fashion era is the 1950’s. I love those huge skirts that twirl when you spin.
My favorite fashion Era is a toss up. While the luscious Victorian gowns are truly awe inspiring I would love to see more historical patterns from the 1920’s to the 30’s. That Era was so fun and fashionable, it makes me want to be there!
I love the colonial era fashions as well as the 30’s.
My favorite era is the civil war era,I like the way they made the dresses then. I would love to make one one day when I get better at sewing.
My favorite fashion era is. . . Holy cow! Where to start?! I personally love to wear fashions from.the 1940s. I think it would be fun to have my doll in a sharp suit like the ones my granny wore. . . But. . . I also like Renaissance styles for “dress up”. My mom made a Barbie dress based on a dress in her historical costumes book. I LOVED that dress so much that when the time came, I had her make my dress like the Barbie dress. (And Barbie sat at my cake table!).
“My favorite fashion era is the 1960s. I would like to see a historical pattern offered for a boho, hippy, lovechild.
Victorian era is my favorite but anything pre 1930 is wonderful. I would love a “Sherlock Holmes” (1880’s to 1890’s) outfit for my boy AG doll. I am trying to make historic caroling outfits and I have had to fake the boy outfit from existing patterns. I am not good at pattern design and really don’t want to do it anyway when all of you are so professional. I want the deerstalker hat and the overcoat but also a suit, shirt and tie faithful to the period.
My favorite fashion era is the 70s. Recently many designers on Pixie Faire have chosen to bring back fashions from this time.
I don’t have a favorite era, as far as fashion goes, but something from the American & French Revolutionary periods would be neat! Also, WW1 & WW2 fashions from around the world would be interesting.
My favorite fashion era is the 60s, but I also love the Civil War era fashions.
My favorite fashion era is the early to mid-1900s (1900-1955); before the “trendy” modern stuff. The clothes were more modest (longer skirt lengths & such). I love Shari’s patterns as well as your new designers Keepers Dolly Duds.

My favorite fashion era is the 1950’s…I would like to see a pattern for cotton blouses and pedal pushers!
My favorite fashion era is the 60’s. It takes me back to my childhood. Cut off jeans, over sized mens shirts, mohair sweaters. Walking in the summer rain with no coat. Good memories.
My favourite fashion era is the 1870’s. I would like to see a historical pattern offered for the original North West Mounted Police, now called the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. My family have been a part of the RCMP since their inception.
My favorite fashion era is 1917. I do reenactment of that period for Fort Vancouver, Washinton.
I would like to see a variety of clothing from that period.
My favorite era for dolls is the 1950’s. I would love to see more patterns for using the adorable 50’s reproduction feedback prints.
“My favorite fashion era is… I would like to see a historical pattern offered for a Girl For All Time Doll.”
“My favorite fashion era is mid to late 1800s pioneer clothing. I would like to see a historical pattern offered for girls and boys everyday clothing including coats and jackets and under clothes.
My favourite fashion era is, well I love them all! But if I have to choose, Edwardian and 1940’s (ww2). I would love to see any patterns offered for those times, but I think it would be really cool to have ww2 patterns, for maybe a utility dress. Or a tap outfit. And I love anything Edwardian.
My favorite fashion era is the late 1800’s I love the outfits worn during the suffrage movement.
My favorite fashion era is Elizabethan. I would like to see a ball gown with headdress for that era
My favorite era for dolls is the Victorian era, I would love to see some fancy ball gowns,

My personal favorites are the 30s, 40s, 50s. I am grateful that I lived the era-that is why I love these clothes, although there are many nice outfits after. Those were wonderful years also. So many outfits to combine and create to make them yours. Thank you.
