On Thanksgiving we give an amount of money to each of our three children and their family. This amount is different each year do they don’t know what to expect. Or we may give them something like a bunch of coats or blanklets. They have until Christmas to use the money or gifts to help someone else. They are to keep this a secret until Christmas. Then we we gather to celebrate, they reveal what they did as their secret gift to others in honor of Christ’s life.

I just love giving gifts. During the season I carry candy canes, little bags of goodies, cards with money and pass them out to people. I love the smiles I get. It is just so much fun. Also, getting out the nativity set , and on Christmas morning morning placing the baby Jesus in the manger. I really love it all. The lights, poinsettias, tree, baking, all in preparation celebrating the birthday of our Lord.
