Hi everyone, We’re super excited to announce the 7th annual Pixie Faire 12 Days of Christmas! Our event will run on the traditional days – December 25th through January 5th…

When I was a kid we would get up in the middle of the night to see what Santa brought and take it to the other end of the house to turn on a light to see what we got. Hardest part was getting out of bed, my bed squeaked and would wake up dad who told us to go back to bed. What fun it was!

My favorite tradition is Christmas Eve – going to the diner with the kids for a wonderful breakfast/brunch, then making cookies with my daughter. Waiting until the ‘kids’ (15 and 20) are asleep and then sneaking the presents downstairs to surprise them on Christmas morning.

My favorite thing at Christmas is remembering the true meaning of this day, the birth
of our Lord and Saviour .We have a family dinner with lots of good food and laughter.

My favorite tradition is giving gifts. The neighbours always have a sweet treat when they arrive back home. I love making doll clothes for my grand niece who lives in northern Manitoba, and Auntie always gets a picture with her with the new doll outfits. The smile is priceless.

They always have fun guessing or trying to crack Mom’s secret code! It helped keep the surprises magical and created a lot of fun when they finally got open them!

My favourite Christmas Tradition is going to my son’s home (after our Christmas Eve church Service) and taking their gifts. We watch as the kids open their gifts from us. Ages 11and 14 they still are excited to see what we give them.
We sit around and chat, then come back home and watch Christmas movies, and have a quiet Christmas Eve with a glass or two of eggnog.

…..every Christmas morning my husband makes sugar biscuits. Cook biscuits, then separate tops and bottoms of biscuits, put butter and cinnamon on each piece and put back in oven buttered sides up and bake until toasty! Yum!!

Every year I have my grandchildren for a Christmas craft day and overnight. We make ornaments and cards followed by a pizza party and sundaes. They ask each year if we are doing it again. One proud Grandma here.

Every year I purchase a pair of gloves for my daughter, who is now 43. I put money in the finger/s of the glove! Depending on the year and the finances, the amount differs. She has always loved getting this gift so she can see how much she got. Even in bad times when she only got a dollar or two she loved the gift, because of the tradition!

My favorite holiday tradition is working with the Carrollton Pin Pals of the American Sewing Guild to dress 18-inch dolls for a local Christmas store charity. We get 50 dolls and each doll is sent out packaged with 5 outfits and accessories such as shoes, hats and whatever else members can dream up. We work on making the outfits all year and send them out in late November. Today 50 little girls are opening those presents and we love to imagine the delight on their faces!

My favorite Christmas tradition was started by my parents in the 1950’s. On Christas Eve they would celebrate with French meat pie and then all the kids would get a little glass of “sleeping wine” . They would tell us that it was so we wouldn’t see Santa when he came. Now we do it with the grandchildren, great grandkids and even a few great great grand kids

My favorite holiday tradition is baking Italian pizzelle cookies! The mixing & baking brings back memories of my Italian Aunts, whose homes had the fragrance of spices, who always wrapped the pizzelles in newspaper to keep them fresh and crisp, and all the love and hugs that went with visits to their homes! No one goes hungry in an Italian home!
