I sew as a hobby. With young kids at home and other hobbies too, my sew time varies – it can be zero hours a week or 6+ hours (or somewhere in between) depending on what is going on.
“I sew primarily as a hobby business on average, I spend 10 to 15 hours a week. I make doll clothes and other craft items to sell at one craft show a year. I also design and make wedding gowns. I’ve sewn since I was tall enough to reach the treadle pedal, so sewing automatically grew into a very important part of my life. I almost have my MFA in costume design for the theatre which taught me that I wanted my creative sewing remain a hobby!
“I sew primarily as a hobby. On average, I spend 5 plus hours a week sewing quilts, doll clothes, curtains, pot holders etc.
I crochet as a hobby and am just learning to sew. I spend a couple hours a day crafting.
I sew primarily for my 10 young grandchildren, 6 being girls. I spend 20 or more hours in a week until Christmas sewing time. It must increase then. Others have asked me to sew for them but with 10 grand kids I can only do that from May to Sept.
