I enjoy knitting and crocheting for dolls and in the winter time spend several hours a day doing this. I don’t sell them at this time but would like to. I have an Etsy shop called Island Doll Dreams
I sew mostly as a hobby. I love to sew doll clothes for my niece and others. The number of hours spent sewing just depends on the amount of free time I find.
I embroider and sew primarily as a jobby on average, I spend about 10 or so hours a week playing in my craft room as I have time.
I sew as a hobby, and I tend to sew in spurts when I have time to work on a project. I don’t have an Etsy store any more, but it is a great place to buy supplies for sewing.
I sew by hand, not machine, as a hobby and as artistic expression. Mostly I mend for my family and sew for my doll collection. I almost said “invent” for my doll collection, as I have very few patterns for the dolls that currently hold my interest (the ‘Maru and Friends’ lines) but have been knowns to piece together different patterns and drape what patterns I don’t have – to achieve the affect I want. As I have carpal tunnel from my career as a computer artist, it tends to take a month or more, working just a little at a time, to finish one dolly project. WISH I could work faster AND that I had ever learned to crochet and knit. Still, I make do with the skills I have.
