My favorite tradition is baking cookies with my mom and then frosting them with all of the little cousins. A few of the decorations are questionable every year, but no one minds a yellow snowman if its just the frosting that’s yellow!!

My favorite holiday tradition is getting out the decorations with my children (who are now teenagers) and decorating together. They do most all of it now and it warms my heart to see how much fun they have and the tradition they can carry over into their families one day!

My favourite holiday tradition is writing a new, personalized version of ‘Twas the night before Christmas’ for my grandchildren. I started when my first grandson was a new baby and he just turned 19. I also have 2 young grandchildren who are 6 and 3. I continued the tradition for them when Isla was a baby. Not sure how old they will be when I finally stop.

My favorite Christmas tradition is handing up our handmade knit socks and then filling them on Christmas Eve. It is so much fun to watch the children’s faces in the morning as they open their own special Christmas socks. Each sock has their name and a different Santa scene knitted in it. This year we added our 31st stocking to the family. But the best part is family sharing the birth of Jesus and love for each other.

My favorite Christmas tradition is on Christmas Eve day my husband making fudge with the small grandchildren. They are usually covered in chocolate from spoon licking. The older grandkids that are not as fascinated with the tradition of fudge anymore share grandpa making cookies in the afternoon and and helping to set out the family “feast”. How wonderful it is adding children to the groups. Grandpa and I both love spending the day with the kids and the parents come about 6 in the evening. Spoiling the kids is such fun. This year there were 18 grandkids and 2 greatgrandkids ad more on the way. We are so blessed.

My favorite Holiday Tradition is gathering around the tree on Christmas Eve with my family…we each pick out one gift to open…then we watch The Christmas Carol with Patrick Stewart and one more Christmas movie of our choice…the tree lights stay on through the night and we get up early to open the rest of our gifts then start in on the Christmas meal …We may not have receive a lot of gifts but it has never been about the gifts…it’s about spending time as a family and being thankful for “Another Christmas Together”…I have been blessed to be able to spend time with my Son every year…He always says…“no matter where I am or how far apart we are, I will always come home to spend Christmas with you, Mom.” He’ll turn 30 in January and he has always come home…That’s our Family Tradition…
