I sew primarily as a hobby and since I retired, I am able to spend several hours a day except weekends when I spend time with my husband.
I sew and crochet primarily to make gifts for my kids and granddaughters. They always ask for handmade from me. LOL
I knit primarily as a hobby, on average, I spend between 7 to 21 hours a week knitting. More when I am making gifts. I also do some knitting for sales on Etsy. I also sew, but to a much smaller degree.
I sew and crochet primarily as a hobby, but I also do custom gymnastic leotards as a small home business. On average, I spend not nearly enough time each week on it! Would love to do it full time! :)

I sew primarily to make costumes and dressy clothes for my grandchildren and clothes for me. How much time I spend per week varies, depending on the frequency of demand and the need for speed. Usually I’m sent a photo as a starting point, plus a few measurements.
Between finding a suitable pattern, to adapt and figuring out what’s needed, altering the size to fit my nonstandard cuties, buying the fabric, cutting and sewing it up, it’s a good two weeks each time. And let’s not forget the time spent praying that it actually will fit!

I sew crafts, and now I have four granddaughters, three of which love AG dolls and one that is totally into Barbie. I find sewing and crocheting for them and their dolls is fun, and I would love to sew matching pjs and dresses for them as well. I am learning to use a new serger, and I love it! Since I work during the week, I save my crafts for the weekend.

It’s hard to calculate the average number of hours/week that I sew, some weeks very little, other weeks quite a bit. An average would probably be around 15 hours/week. Retirement has really increased the available hours!!!

I knit, sew, and occasionally crochet items for my family and doll clothing for my collection of dolls (which are mostly Victorian but also have AG and others ranging in size from 8-36") and my grand and great granddaughters collections. I find it is very relaxing and satisfying to do any of the projects so always have several items on the needles and cut out to sew up so average at least an hour a day as some days will do an entire project and take full day others just a couple.

I do not sew unfortunately, but I did have my own sewing machine once, and it’s been my dream since I was young to learn how and be able to make my own things as a hobby.

I sew primarily as a way to help my anxiety levels stay low and keep myself from worrying about things I can’t control, on average, I spend 7 – 10 hours in a week, sometimes more on days when I’m not as busy. Days where my anxiety is higher I’ll spend more than a couple of hours sewing, those weeks it’s probably more like 20 hours a week.

I’m a multi-crafter. I love all three crafts. I usually always spend my evenings working on my projects. I often use repurposed fabric to make my doll outfits. Any way we can reuse and recycle is of benefit for all. The historic outfits are so lovely!
