My favourite era of clothing & fashion is the 60s and 70s. That’s when I first became aware of fashion in general. I would love to see a pattern of a peasant skirt with a headband, a fringed vest, or a tye dye t-shirt shirt with jeans and a really cool fringed belt.

I would love to see the designers continue creating patterns for all styles because it gives everyone a chance to sew what they love. Keeping on trend with the current doll of the year is fun, so I guess more things for the new girl Luciana Vega would be good.

My family (boys included) have always loved anything “magical”. Prince/princess outfits, crowns, swords, outfits from various lands, be it from the North Pole, to India, to Africa. Our favorite games usually involved some elaborate plot, mythical creatures or huge expeditions (usually gone awry ?). So basically, clothes out of fairy tales with sparkle and softness to give it an elaborate, not daily wear, twist!

I’m fascinated by Victorian and Edwardian clothes, undergarments included.
I find English Tudor era very interesting. There are 2 Tudor patterns, one by Thimbles and Acorns and one by Read Creations, both in Henry VIII time. But there are none for Elizabeth I. I would really like to see one, all decked out like Glorianna. I think it would be a fun challenge to create a pattern for that — and to sew it.

When I was little I loved to read biographies and Queen Leleukilani the last Hawaiian Queen was my favorite. Nanea reminds me of how I pictured the queen as a child. I love this era of clothing

My own dolls represent many historical eras, so I do love sewing styles fromlots of time periods, but I dress at least 30 dolls each year for charity. Those dolls are dressed contemporary styles. If I could ask for a specific type pattern it would be for contemporary styles with more coverage at the neckline and armholes since the less expensive 18” dolls don’t look pretty with these areas exposed.

Not an era but….Over the Christmas holiday I watched the movie How the Grinch Stole Christmas with Jim Carrey. I marveled at the costumes. I’d love to see a few of those or similar patterns. So fun to make!

i sew for my oldest great-grandchild, she turned three this year. At Christmas I got to see how excited she gets over a new outfit for her doll, of course the doll had to try on everything that she received right away. I hope to do matching outfits for them for Easter.
