My favorite era of fashion and clothing is the 1960’s. Lots of loose flowing styles with colorful pretty flowers. Mini skirts were all the rage. And bell bottom jeans with real hand embroidery (how I made extra money as a matter of fact). I’d love to see a pattern for a tent dress. I wore one to my prom!

I have 3 favorite fashion eras, Edwardian (1900’s, 1940’s, and 1950’s. I sew for the 1950’s the most because that was the decade of my childhood. I would like to see a pattern for the winter coat set I wore in the early 1950’s. It included the coat, bonnet style hat, muff, and leggings (not like today’s leggings, these were very baggy because we stuffed our dress down in them). Everything was made of wool.

Sewing for my granddaughter’s AG’s: she likes “costumes” that reflect movies or books that she’s into at the time. My dolls are rather wide spread but I find myself sewing either Civil War Era or the Edwardian Era. What I would like to see in patterns would be: for mid-1800, dresses with pantaloons and for the early 1900s romantic girl dresses with hats like in the movie Pollyanna or The Secret Garden. Thanks for asking! ;-)
